as for smoking, ironically it does have one benefit, it will keep you thin. it's not a mental thing either, it's for the most part a metabolism booster, why you ask??

well because you're putting so much toxins into your body, it must react my constantly working to rid itself of those poisons. by having your body in this constant race, it boosts your metabolism. this is one reason why people gain weight after quitting.
