Theres this guy i know. we flirt and talk alot of the time. He taps me and then acts as if it wasn't him, but sometimes he'll do something to me and then he'll stand there and smile at me. And i'll smile at him. Kinda like he wants my attention. Do guys only do this to women they like?

Hm, obviously he wants your attention. I've been around with guys like that...it gets annoying after sometime. Well, depends upon what they do to get your attention. But yeah...
Well, if I were you...I would not assume since it's too early for that. Lol. I'd prolly just ride along first, and see what happens next. ugh. hate boys like this. I'm a big fan of them coming right out and saying they might be interested in me. But..poking me and pretending it was someone else? i feel like i'm in elementary school again. It sounds like he's interested in you..but also that he's immature.

It's really funny because, when I was 15, there was a guy who did that to me... and I'd do that to him. 2 years later we started talking again, and it turned out he had had a crush on me and was subtly letting me know.

isn't it obvious? he is shy. he can not say what he is meaning because the shyness gets in the way but he still desiers closeness and all the seemingly silly little games that are played are there to allow him some parody of closeness that is garanteed not to hurt him. the eternal feer of the shy is that someone will confront them and they will have no words to seek refuge behind. sad really because such a thing removes the feer of confrontation. he plays the games for its similatrity for closeness in the safe knollege that if anyone asks him a attacking question he can seeek refuge in the words 'we were just playing'. but he still hopes (because even small hope is better than none) that such silly games can lead to something serious. that the world is a fairy tale, that happy endings do happen to people who arnt bruteish and rash and uncareing. he probably does have some feelings for you, but he is incapable of saying them, this is the nearest his mind may let him.
