    time to go to bed

i have a hard time getting to sleep at night.. a few nights ago i stayed up until 4 and then got 3 hours of sleep. it has affected my sleeping pattern since then. i can't go to bed until it's four in the morning.

i am really tired all day while i am at work and it makes me lazy and lightheaded.

what can i do? about to pass out at work.

You need to exercise more. Wear yourself out.

my stamina is too difficult to wear down. i work out too much already. maybe if i switch around the times i work out a bit, i will fall asleep easy.

i am usually tired for 10 to 20 minutes after i work out, and then i go through this shakey phase where i can't pick up anything and then i am ready for more working out.

urghhh last night was very difficult. i started singin a lullaby on my bed with my guitar in the dark.
i called it the 'closing your ****ing eyes' lullaby.
i tried everything! i was just sitting in my bed doing random shit in the dark.

are you *doing* anything when you're trying to get to sleep? You need to be lying there in complete stillness and try to clear your mind. If you're browsing on your laptop or listening to music or reading a book, it wont work. Other than that, are you particularly worried or excited about something that's making your brain THINK relentlessly about it as soon as the light goes out?

well... those are the things that keep me up.

meditation usually helps me sleep. making the room dark helps. a warm cup of water or milk helps sometimes too.

i have a hard time sleeping if i'm having a lot of stress. are you having a lot of stress lilwang?
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.

what do you actually do when you meditate? My bf showed me this thing where you close your eyes and imagine a wave coming up on a beach as you breath in, and the water sliding back out as you exhale. It's pretty relaxing.

Your whole life is about to change drastically. I'm not surprised you can't sleep.

But won't that just draw attention to it? I think you should just find a way to deal with it.

I never lived in the dorms. How many guys are you going to be sharing with?

Oh, and btw, you MUST get some flip-flops. You don't want to be going around barefoot there. You'll get foot-cooties.

If it makes you feel any better lilwing, my RA (who lives RIGHT next to me) is about as gay as they come. The shower is on the other side of his door, so when I'm done I walk in front of his room half naked. But hey, at least I have some hot girls across the hall to even that out

And Giga is right, BRING FLIP-FLOPS! And also earplugs. Definitely earplugs.
