Last time & then I'm done: look for a partner who is intelligent, kind-hearted, and not too self-centred. This kind of person will be open to learning about themself. If you're the commitment sort, a person w/these traits who share your values will grow along with you. Most of the time, given hard work & some luck. Mostly hard work, tho.

I would... I'm a philosophy minor so i do think of marriage and love as something that goes beyond a social institution. Which means it has to be honored.

You know this was a loaded question, right? I think that a man, or a woman for that matter, may be totally comitted to a relationship and marriage. But some become unhappy after some time for a myriad of reasons... some "good" some "bad". I don't think anyone can answer this question in a general fashion. Life is full of surprises, sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesnt. Get to know a person as well as you can and if you REALLY love them then dive right in. Down the road you may get hurt, but then again you may not. Don't be afraid to try, this is a short life we have here and you need to live it, go ahead be happy, go ahead get hurt... its all a part of this life.
