the sky was lined with thin streaks of cloud
patching the night like a torn shroud
behind which the moon would peek out
gracing your face with its warm light
through every fight and cold night i spent alone
it was that night that reminds me of you most
i was so close to you and thats all i really ever wanted
i recall in that same night i kissed you on the cheek
you smiled at me and i knew that under the circumstances you had feelings toward me
