Do you pretend to be drunk?

Just curious. I watched a video on filecabi.net where these upperclassmen took a keg and filled it with non-alcoholic beer and served it to freshman, who later pretended to be drunk in the footage.

A question in my mind is whether or not people fake being drunk more often then not. I remember my ex girlfriend getting all flirty with other guys after 3 beers whereas I am still in full control over everything I do after a straight bottle of whiskey. I dunno, maybe something is wrong with me.

It just seems that people use alcohol as an excuse for everything.

So here's an anonymous poll, just curious if you have ever pretended to be drunk.

I don't know that I would call it "faking". Rather, I'd say it was the "placebo effect". Similar effects are found in any drug study ever done: people expect a certain outcome, and they get it. Anyway, I've never faked being drunk.

BTW - I can guarantee you that unless you are an alcoholic with cirrhosis of the liver well under way, you are definitely affected by a bottle of whiskey. Most drunks don't acknowledge they are drunk.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Three beers would put me in the goofy zone, and a whole bottle of whiskey would put me in the hospital.

I think I'm one of those people who has a natural drinking limit. At some point, my stomach takes my brain aside and says "listen, if we drink any more, I'm going to throw up, and that wouldn't be fun, would it?", and then I stop. I'd be pretty drunk at that point, but I wouldn't be falling over and I wouldn't be loosing memory.

Whereas I know some people who just drink and drink and drink, drink themselves into a stupor, can't remember anything the next day and have loads of unexplained bruises... these are the people that are more likely to pass out in their own vomit or seriously hurt themselves.

Anyways. I haven't touched drink for months, and even then it was just a sip out of my boyfriends drink, so, the last time I was actually drunk was last christmas. A year of sober tiay. yay

I haven't drank anything since my college's football homecoming. Nobody likes beer over here, and if they do, they buy cheap stuff like Keystone light.

First time I ever drank I had four beers, a glass of champagne, three shots of scotch, and an entire bottle of 80 proof brandy. I only had to do that once to learn my lesson.

I've pretended to be drunk to keep from telling a girl I didn't want to have sex with her because I wasn't attracted to her. Is that wrong?

No, pretending to be drunk is craving for attention and wanting to be "cool"....in another word...stupid.

drunk after 3 beers? That's ridiculous, especially considering that American beer is like dishwater compared to Australian beer.

No I've never pretended to be drunk, but after I've had a few and am very slightly tipsy, people keep expecting me to be drunk and calling me drunk and by denying it I make myself look worse. Thing is, I never have trouble admitting i'm drunk when i actually am, so i'm not in denial.
