    No anti-depression pill can save you away from depression. Being a loner is actually not a bad thing at all. What else to say? - PRAY!!!

    If the anti-depression pills actually worked that market would be out of business ages ago.

    anyway, try cut down on these pills. It had side-effect, if i am not wrong.

    Just to add to the discussion; I suffer from depression which includes my anxiety. I am on an anti-depressant called Citalopram (30mg's a day). I have been taking Citalopram for around eleven months now and my symptoms seem to be getting worse, I am not sure why?

    Being depressed isn't a nice experience to go through, although I try and get on with my life as I can, and as James Martin stated "Change of routine" would be a great help. That is my problem, getting in a routine and then getting out of one. I must change that otherwise I don't think I could cope living on my own in University, seeing as now I have my support group close to me, In university, I don't

    You need a good book, or an uplifting movie. Also try talking to someone about the way you feel and why. Try boosting your self-confidence by getting in shape and expanding the relationships around you. A lot of the time finding someone to talk to can help heal us.

    YOu need to talk to someone. Self medicating with alcohol is not the way to go about things.

    There's circumstantial depression, and then there's depression that is an actual medical issue. Anti-Depressants do work for some...but you really shouldn't drink when you're on them.

    I have bipolar disorder and I have to stay far far away from alcohol because of the medications I'm on. Talk to a counselor, your doctor or a psychologist and they should be able to help you.

    Some people just need to get outside more, and learn to enjoy life. I'd definitely step back from the drinking though.

    You probably need to try a different medication. Celexa (which is an older version of what you're on) is the only thing that has worked for me..mind you I'm on 80mgs a day.

    Tell your doctor how you're feeling, they should have plenty of other options. Different meds help different people. You don't need to keep feeling the way you do. Mind you pills aren't going to make you happy..they just make life easier. You'll still have mood swings but they'll be less often.

    DO NOT TAKE ANTI-DEPRESSANTS! Weather you think they help you or not the best they can do is mask your symptoms NOT cure it. Take a look at this video. When I was feeling depressed it helped me look at things differently and get out of it.

    By the way "Depression runs in my family" is a cop out. Being depressed is YOUR problem.
