Years ago my father received a ticket because I was driving his vehicle at the time, he replied that he wasn't driving and the matter was settled without court action.

in this case, you would still be liable because you gave the person driving permission to use your car and you claim responsibilities for their actions, right or wrong.

we used to have people sit in vans and literally take shots of people who were speeding and send them the tickets here in hawaii. that lasted maybe 5 months because the people fought back. they argued that it was a violation of privacy and they actually won. it's funny because the state had a contact with the "van" people and ending up canceling the contract. the state was dumb because they put millions into getting this project together and they paid out millions to end the contract early.
