    Whale Watching

Last week I was in San Diego whale watching and it was an unbelievable experience to see these animals up close and (most importantly) in their natural environment.

It was absolutely incredible. We saw 3 different groups of gray whales (though they were hard to get on camera), plenty of dolphins, birds, & sea lions on the 2 days we were out to sea.

I had over 200 pictures and have uploaded a few to a photobucket account if you'd like to see. The last few pictures are from my day at the San Diego zoo... which was not as enjoyable to see animals in cages as opposed to in the wild.

On another note - I got a 'B' in College Algebra!!!! I applied a few days ago to the UNL and am going to major in Fisheries & Wildlife with the option in Wildlife Conservation.

Hope all is well with you guys & gals.

Hey tone, congrats on your grade! Good job, you worked hard & earned it.

What kind of whales did you see? Or is 'grey whales' a species? SD is nice.

    Hey Tone...

Congrats on the 'B' from me too.

Whale watching! Amazing, innit? I had the opportunity to go whale watching in Cape Town last year. One of those experiences I'd never forget!

Beautiful shots!! You took up photography?

I'm glad you sound so happy, my darling! Congrats on the grade - I knew you could do it!

Now why weren't there any pictures of you in that link? Did you remove them?
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Keeping such large animals as whales in zoos are a shame.

There should be a law against it.

Do you like whale meat? Its always nice to watch someone swim and admire the beauty of the situation and then kill the sonofabitch. Catch it in the net and pull it out of water, watch it slowly dehydragating and drying, then cutting its throat and watch it suffocate panicking in the lake of its own blood.

Hey Tone, I went whale watching in San Diego last Friday. It was a nature cruise to the Coronado Islands. It was awesome. Where did you go?

Wow, Tony, sounds like an awesome experience. Having lived on the coast my whole life I've been priviledged to see whales pretty often while down at the beach. It's amazing!

Big congrats on your hard work at school too, smartypants.

You gotta be kiddin me, Giga - I went Friday on the Nature Cruise to the Coronado Islands! Can't you tell from the pics? Left at 10am local time w/ San Diego Nature Excursions or somethin like that.

We were both in SD and on Nature Cruises on the exact same day?? Did you guys see any whales?

Indi - they are named Gray Whales not only because they are gray but the man who "discovered" them was named Dr. Gray.

shh - I'm in the jet in one of them but it's hard to see! I just made that link for the sole purpose of putting those pics up.

Foxy - No photography - I just got pretty lucky w/ some of those shots. It was so beautiful on those islands that all you had to do was point anywhere pretty much and click.

shorty - next time I promise!!

curious - I absolutely agree! These animals belong out in the wild not in some tank where they have to perform tricks.

Nina I'm not going to lie I'm a little jealous (and not just of your new boyfriend I've been readin about )... I would love to live on the coast and after that trip I would not argue one bit if I had to move to San Diego. The National Weather Service says that San Diego has the ideal climate in the U.S.

    PS>> Hi sombra.
