Interested or just impressed?

Hey,

I am a commander/instructor in the army. I am in charge of a certain course, beside our course there is another course who train girls to be instructors.

Anyway, there is this girl who makes eye contact every time she passes me. This could mean 2 things:

1. She is interested.

2. She is impressed when walking near an instructor.

This happens almost every day and every time she passes me.

Also be aware of rules pertaining to relationships in your division. Some people look down upon it, wouldn't wanna see you get into any trouble. Otherwise i'd say there is definite interest.

Yesterday their course had a big party (the perfect chance), but I couldn't make it because of other duties.

I though of sending her a simple sms message, but I am not sure what do write her.

Any suggestions?

"Hi! Hope you had a nice time during the course party. I've been noticing what a nice smile you have. I will like to know you a little better. Care to do lunch or have a coffee?"

I don't know how much you know her or how much she knows you so feel free to make alterations.

I wouldn't send her anything written because she could keep the message and that might get you in trouble. Look for another way to approach... or just show a little interest. She'll likely approach a little for you.
