I get that too. Different dreams then slipping into previous dreams later that night. It's farn.

Another important reason for the darkness is the fact that it stimulates the production of melatonin hormone in your body. Production of melatonin by the pineal gland is inhibited by light and permitted by darkness. Melatonin regulates sleep patterns and amount of Leptin hormone. The melatonin signal forms part of the system that regulates the circadian cycle by chemically causing drowsiness and lowering the body temperature.

When I sleep, lights are always on since my kids hates and fears darkness. I hope i can put lights off after reading your post. I think that is a medical advice based on work experience. Also, is it to do with low skin pigment? i mean low melatonin?
