I think your mum understimates the quality of women out there. 20th century is over and the house wife mentality is slowly coming to an end (at least in the western world). A girl has a lot to contribute to relationship these days, not just kids. I can see why it can be difficult for women these days, finding that balance between kids, family and a career. But the fact is they are out there trying to get that balance right. For a guy it's just a matter of searching and finding one of them (While weeding out the minority of free loaders out there).

Agreed.., i'm sure you're going to have guys in Med school.., the same way you have guys in Law school going.., "ugh.., fcuk this.., I can't wait till this is finally over.., and I start getting some action" (yeah.., definitely genius.., when? with your 90+ hour work-week? As you're getting ready in the morning.., or while you're having lunch?)

And until you find it.., you're not willing to settle down..

Anesthesiologist...one of the most overpaid professions imho. If I was interested in medicine, that's what I would study. But I have zero interest in that.

I envy you right now. I'm about to enter my second year in college and still am undecided with what I want to do with my life. Thats the problem: the study. The other anesthesiologists refuse to teach it to others.

Anesthesiology gets paid a lot, but it's not some easy profession. You're dealing with sleep inducers that could kill someone with just the smallest amount too much. And if you give just the smallest amount too little they'll wake up during surgery and there goes your malpractice.

LOL, this made me laugh. I was dating a guy, years ago, who wanted to be a lawyer (is now). Nice enough fellow, but damn, you couldn't get a word in edgewise. I broke it off w/him when he got too serious, mentioning the M-word (the other problem).
