    Age gap does it matter?

I'm 17 and I like this girl who's 13, do you think it'll work out?

Maybe if you are 1 day over 17 and she's 1 day shy of 14

I wouldn't let my 13 year old date a 17 year old boy. Nothing personal, but 17 year old boys are usually more sexually mature than a 13 year old. Besides, she is too young for boys.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

when your younger it matters more, once you get older, it's not as important.
Don't go after the 13 year, go for 15-18 right now, and once you hit college and university, you'll see that it won't work out.
Go for someone that is at your maturity level.

I wouldn't let my 13 year old daughter date a 17 year old boy either. I know what most of my friends wanted at that age. Plus, I don't think a 13 year old should be dating anyways.

It's the maturity level that matters.

Not when you're that young. When you're older or they are legal age, sure. That's like saying it's acceptable that a 25 year old date a 15 year old as long as she's mature.

If that's the case, then no one should date until they are legal adults, and sometimes not even then.

Personally, I don't think children should start dating until they're close to that anyways... 16 at the earliest.

But then again, we're in today's age. People are dating younger and younger. When I'm finally a dad, my 7 year old will be on his third gf.

Look at the media, Miley Cyrus is only 15, but they're making her dress like she's 18 already.

Ironically, she met her baby daddy at church.

You'll be surprise at how many potential baby daddies are at church. I knew of a few back in my high school days.

No offense to anyone but I would not want to date a man I met at church...some type of educational institution is almost always a winner.

Not if you're a good parent.

Anyways, I'm of the opinion that 13 year olds shouldn't be dating, either. Also, at seventeen, you are not on the same level developmentally....she's just into her teens, and therefore basically still a child. Stick to someone closer to your own age.
