How long is to long to wait for....

I have posted before on here about a situation i was in, and had the hots for a guy who showed interest in me over a year ago but he was in a relationship as was i at the time. Then he became single (this was about a year ago) and now i'm single, we lost contact and i'm very keen to find him. I tracked him down using a PI and the electoral roll and managed to find where he is living. I went to great lengths to find this man as i felt an incredible connection with him in only a couple of brief conversations that we had.

Was unable to get a current phone number for him, the one he had has been disconnected.

I decided to snail mail him a note on Sunday night, asking him to contact me as i would love to catch up.

He still hasnt called but i think it's still early days. He wouldn't of got it until Tuesday and it's only Friday!

Now i am hoping i have the right person or hoping he isnt with someone.

Do you think i'm being a bit to impatient?

And if you received a note like that and were in a r/s or no longer interested wouldnt you let them know you had recieved their request to catch up but dont want to and if i have got the wrong address (which i very much doubt) would it be common courtesy to let the person know they have got the wrong person (i know i would)

I am feeling a bit confused, any advice would be great to get me through the weekend!

I don't know what to say. Except please lower your expectations. The chances of his number calling yours in the next hour (or day) are pretty slim. Don't get your hopes up and go about your day not expecting anything. It makes it that much sweeter when things go your way.

Personally I would find it a bit creepy if someone I had a couple of brief conversations with went through great lengths to track me down a year later. But I know some guys might think it's romantic. So you never know how this will work out.
