I seem to keep recommending books to you (sorry). But yes, I think you really would like the Hornblower books (also the DVDs). The Sharpe series (Bernard Cornwell) is likewise excellent. There are also vids for these, w/Sean Bean, so I don't mind watching those at all. Most decent sized libraries carry the DVDs now.

I have Civilization: Call to Power, lol. I think that's the first one. I also have Cvilization IV, which isn't that great compared to the first one.
