    What you enjoyed today

    An official place to post things that made you happy today

    ------------------------------------------

    <Mine happened yesterday, sue me>

    I enjoyed my gf cooking dinner for me, give me a bracelet as a present and tell me that on a scale of 1 to 10 I'm a perfect 10 (It's not true, but I loved it).

    Then she did a dress up for me with some of her hot dresses. Her in a sexy red dress is permanently etched in my mind. Mmm Mmm.

    Lying on my deck in the warm sun. Heaven.

    I put my polarized sunglasses on inside my apartment and noticed the darker of my two lcd screens was black, so..."half of it isn't working" ...so it might just be some kind of fuse or something needing replacement to restore it to full brightness. (not to be confused with my laptop screen mentioned in the 'annoyed me' thread)

    I talked to my college friends today. I haven't talked to them since the beginning of summer. Now we're making plans for parties, when we're going to hang out and stuff.

    I watched some Monty Python videos on youtube, making fun of Hitler.

    I found a nice song today that I really like, that I'd like to be playing when I share my first kiss with the next girlfrined. Check out Misombra's what are you watching thread for that.

    Finally making some progress on my current computer program project. If you're not a programmer, it's often very frustrating, and it's a lot of trial and error. But now that I've got things figured out, it's going to go like the shake of a hip.

    today's been a pretty good day for me. not the best, but certainly good.

    No it's not; not if you're gonna shake the foundations of computer gaming with that game you're planning.

    What's a common language for people to be programming in these days? Java? I used to program in C++ when my dad taught me but it's been more than 5 years

    Well if you remember Zarathu, he's programming some shit in Objective-C, for some halfbaked reason. C++ is actually a derivative of that, but much more advanced, and better syntaxed.

    I use C++. For small programs I will use Python. C++ is basically the best language you can learn, because it is the lowest level language, without being graphics card dependent. But if you were going to make your own gaming console, you might use assembly level.

    Then I use OpenGL for 3d. It's open standard, and it's still better than Direct3d, or anything else that's out there. I use Allegro for 2d, though.
