There's a view that rom-coms, as a genre, don't represent real life, and that love doesn't happen as it does 'in the movies'.

I'm a trainee journalist writing a piece challenging this, on couples who have met in a way similar to how characters in rom-coms have.

If you're really "challenging this", you need more than 3-4 examples of ridiculous situations. You need actual data and research.

If you're just looking to tell a few fun stories, more power to you.
