    I feel empty

Last last I had a party at my house with some of my closest friends. It's been awhile since i've seen everyone because I've been busy with work etc etc. What I noticed was everyone entered the house with a signficuint other.

I'm 19 and they only relationship I've had was one that went horribly wrong, I was bascially a rebound and used as bait to make an ex boyfriend jelious. I really likeed this girl but she was just using me. I was crushed by this obviously. This ended last October and there has not been even bit a hope of meeting someone between now and today..

I feel lonley and don't know where I'm going to find that person to fill that void. I don't know where to look. The friends I have is a very small group so there is usually not many new people that come into my life. My job is in landscaping, so I'm working with all males so there is no chance of meeting someone from work.

I'll be going back to school to get my highschool diplomia this winter so thats really the only contact I'd have with a female.. I sometimes go to the nightclubs but people are quite shallow there and I just end up spending an insane about of money for no reason.

I guess my question is, how am I ever going to find someones. This may come off as being a pre-madona. But I'm seriously thinking that I've got no hope here.

    I didn't have a relationship until I was 20.

And that was long distance until about 8 months ago.

    I'm still going strong.

    Don't lose heart, though.

People stay single, longer, nowadays anyway.

I'm a pretty out-spoken person in a way. I speak whats on my mind. But without a doubt I am the one in my group that can make everyone laugh 20 times or more a night. I know people like that quility in people, the ability to make people laugh. But I also show a very sensitive side and listen to my females friends problems etc.. I feel I have a lot to offer but people are just so damn shallow. I know a guy who has nothing to offer but sex. And he'll walk into a room and get whatever he wants in seconds. Its just frustraiting to see this..

I don't know what to tell you, bro. You're shit out of luck. Might as well kill yourself now.

    lol...that's ****ed up.

    Don't kill yourself.

You're young, plenty of women in your future. Don't stress about it. First of all you don't need someone to fill your "void." Learn to make yourself happy first, take up a hobby or two, do something fulfilling. There's no "need" for someone else. There's a want. Sometimes you don't get the things you want. Just be patient, it will happen eventually. Learn to be happy with yourself, then share that happiness with someone else. Don't expect someone else to make you happy.

Thanks Joe for the mature reply. You're right what you said makes alot of sense. I'll have to think about that down the road. Having a girl is not a "NEED" it is without a doubt a "WANT" I just wonder where I will ever find a girl..

Why don't you enroll in a community college course or two? That will put you in contact with some girls around your age.

you can't catch a fish if you don't have a line in the water.... unless you get really lucky... or decide to settle with the remains on the beach.

You are only 19. I have a close friend who is 33 with no significant other (and has been this way for quite a while) and she doesn’t stress out as much as you.

You need to enjoy your life. Get out, socialise, do a course, join a club – or go to a club. There are so many things to do. Happiness and confidence are the main things that attract people to each other. Learn to be happy with yourself first then think about a significant other.

So why don't you pull your thumb out of your ass and go to a place where you think non-shallow people go, be friendly and introduce yourself to people, and have conversations with them?

yeah, go out meet some other friends, go to gym or search for a dating site maybe you'll find someone there. And one more thing you should control being outspoken because some girls don't like funny boys or something like that. Try to talk like a man be more masculine, and girls wants to go over with you. Don't be an open book, girls love trills and excitement.

The gym really isn't the best place to find someone...it's actually ridiculously hard. Unless you're very lucky.

There's nothing wrong with being outspoken...but there is something wrong with being cocky. Confidence and being cocky are often confused. Show her that you're comfortable in your own skin. Almost all women find this attractive.

As for trying to talk like a man...don't try to talk like anything. Talk like you always talk, you'll end up sounding like an idiot trying to talk differently. Don't try to impress her by being something you're not.

ha! women want a pudgy guy that will act like a doormat for them. they don't want confidence. they want a slave that will defend them from small lizards, and kiss their feet. right shh?
