Speed Dating

Hi,

I think im going to go and try speed dating. Im just too busy nowadays in order to go out anywhere to meet girls whom I would like. Do you think this is a good idea? I have never done something like this before and it will certainly be very interesting. Do desperate people revoke to this type of dating method or does anyone have any nice stories?

I think it's a fantastic idea. If I were single, I'd do it. Most people can tell if they are going to like each other or not in 5 minutes anyway. Why get stuck sitting with someone you don't like for a few hours on a real date?

The people that I know that do speed dating aren't desperate. Just wrapped up in their careers or sick of meeting people at bars.

Trying a different method doesn't make you desperate. Just willing to try new things when the old ways aren't working.

I guess I'll give it a go, but im feeling really nervous. Im looking to book an event soon to go to, but my main worry is that will I get any responses to anyone liking me?

So what? You will have only spent 5 minutes with them. You won't have a huge emotional investment (or at least, you shouldn't). If nothing comes to fruition, then you will be back in the same spot you are in now... no better, no worse.
