Grkscorp is right; art is always the first thing to go; in schools, in employment, etc. etc.

It's surprising though, that budget is being cut like that in NY. I mean, isn't that one of most highly concentrated places in the world for art? Gee, today it is all about quantity not quality.

Like Grkscorp said, though, don't let it bother you. I am sure you are very talented and very capable. This decision will ultimately affect the company in a negative matter. But it is most important that you are able to support yourself.

Thanks again all. Now that the shock has worn off a bit, I am trying to remain optimistic. I know I'll find something, even it it's freelance or part time. If times got really tough I could get a roomie or a cheaper place. I can be pretty resilient, and as Indie suggested I can even relocate. Nothing is tying me down.

I just feel bad for the staffers with kids and more expenses than me. I really hope this is just a bump in the road for everyone. I don't want to see this happen to more people.

    Ugh. My head hurts today.

ROFL! Thanks Grk. This gave me a very much needed laugh.

I went from Exotic Dancer to Art Director. It's a nice rags-to-riches story.

That video is too freaking cute.

Maybe now that I'm jobless, I should just go take care of baby sloths at a Costa Rican sloth sanctuary.

I can tell them I have first-hand experience. Heh.
