lol thanks , I didn't kiss her until after i'd told her how I felt, agreed to go out with me. Then when i did, i told her i'd been wanting to for ages and... she told me i should have... I felt so gutted haha, wish i'd had more courage, ah well tis all good now

You should just go for it. It's what you want to do so go and do it man. You feel like you need to and want to kiss her so just do it. You'll feel unsatisfied if you don't.
