    What is your best meal/recipe?

    Hi guys,

I am not much of a cook. I can do dessert really well but most of the time my partner does the cooking and I do the cleaning after. This works well but I want to surprise him (or me because I cooked maybe?) and make a really great meal for when he gets back from his business trip on Friday.

So my question to all of LF is what is your best, most mouth watering recipe?

Please be aware that I will be stealing the best recipe to attempt to cook

    Vegetarian arrabiata on linguine.
You can find similar recipes online, so I won't bother posting except to say make it a day in advance & let the spices blend.

    Brown sugar mango chicken curry.
I have posted my recipe of this here, so do a search. I think it was in one of Mish's threads.

Giga has one for bacon wrapped teriyaki steak, or something like I remember. I snagged it from her the next day & my family inhaled them. Mbe she can repost it.

I like this website. It has good recipes and the users get to rate them, so I've never gotten a bad recipe.

I cook a lot, but my family favorites are frequently simple soups: matzah ball, tortilla, split pea. As for cooking, my favorite meal to make is for Thanksgiving dinner, and I love making desserts. My best recipe for dessert is probably pumpkin cheesecake, although a lot of people also like a chocolate cake I make or some candies such as peppermint patties or truffles.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Vash - I logged on to that site and it had a Sangria recipe. It's providential because I wanted to make a really nice Sangria as well..maybe I should go with Spanish/Mexican food?

For sure! Misombra probably has some good recipes. I can tell you how to make tortilla soup, but I don't use any actual measurements - it's all done "to taste".

Today for dinner I diced a leftover chicken breast which had been marinated with some ginger and the juices of a lemon and an orange. Tossed that in a bowl with some spinach greens, tomatoes and cucumber. Mixed some raspberry vinegar with a little olive oil and honey mustard for the dressing. It wasn't half bad.

I forgot about Gribble... he can cook, too. I believe he does Spanish food, BTW.
