Does telling a girl that you're giving her space defeat the objective?

Should i tell her why i havnt been talking alot lately because im giving her space or does telling her defeat the object?

its been a little weird between us lately with the lack of communication mainly. and when we do communicate the pretend 'everything is ok' texts are just sad. so I want to clarify my position in this... lately ive been trying to give you a little space because we had the talk and we've established that you can't be bothered anymore I don’t know what to do about that really I mean not to be rude but you probably know me better than to expect me to suck up to you and be the bitch being avoided and given the cold shoulder as much as I dont want lose you I just cant be that, its just not in my nature so the only solution I can see really is to give us time and space and hopefully it'd go back to normal.

A cold shoulder coupled with a bad mood spells bad things. I myself don't think this will work out in the long run.

For me, it would be best to give her space without verbalizing that you are. She will figure out whats goin on.
