Working only 3 days next week.

We actually have the option to work 3, 14 hour days if we choose.

But we still couldn't start until 6:30 am at the least.

Ugh, I want to make 40 hours but even 12 hour days seem daunting to me.

12 hours of being up on a lift, bending and cutting pipe. Ugh, and not even for over time, just to break even.

    Thanksgiving is gay.

I was once in the sawmill, 12 hour shifts cutting wood. And had no lunch, only like 10 min. pay was shit. I quit after a week when I got my pay. Worst job ever.
    Don't expect anything.

Job owners are the ones who hate regulation. They hate 40 hour weeks, they hate over time, they hate lunches and breaks, they hate the idea of providing benefits and feel entitled to treat their workers like shit.

I am happy some of these things are regulated.

I work 12s (which are actually 12.5s). THey are long days. I am wrecked afterwards.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Want to go back to being Noble Savages? Supposedly folks in hunter-gather societies were only working 20 hrs/week max. Basically, you get up when you get hungry.

I don't think we'd have to work much at all in these days either if we only had to sustain such a small percentage of the current population.

My worst experience was as a summer filler for a car-driving newspaper distributor job, after a week of 7-hour shifts switching between completely different routes each time it was topped off with a 12-hour run without any break, in the last hour I managed to slide the car into a small ditch and get stuck, spend an extra hour for the last area and then get it towed. That was such a shitty day.

I can't tell you how much I'd love to live like that. Even if it meant 60 or more hours of work. I don't think modern lifestyles are very fulfilling at all.

You paint bulls on the wall and sew up my leg when I get gored by a boar. I'll fashion the spears and kill the game. We'll have Indi cook and make babies. It's all good.

I can cook, but I'd be too old for making cave-babies. You'd have to go and steal the 12 year olds from the other tribes for that.

I'll be the clan Witchy Woman.
