    Suggestions

In order to avoid confusion, I'd like to post this thread so people know exactly what I'm looking for.

Alright, on to the romantic note a little bit. I'm up for receiving some ideas from you women. Things have gone surprisingly well with this new girl. It's amazing how much more my type she is than my ex was. Anyways, just as I was talking to multiple women before her, she was talking to multiple men. Not that she was off having sex with everyone, but that there were a few guys she was interested in. And she pretty much told me tonight, without actually telling me directly, that she was going to choose me. We are just waiting for her to get back from winter vacation and see what happens. But she mentioned that she's not looking forward to telling these other guys that she isn't looking anymore because she doesn't want to hurt anyone.

She lives a distance away, but a much smaller distance than my ex. It's an easy drive and I'll be going over there in January. Since I don't really know the area, she's going to be planning the dates, etc... I'd still like to have something planned though, so I was wondering about any ideas you women might have. One thing I suggested was cooking dinner together one of the nights. She has a roommate, so I figure inviting the roommate to have some of the food would be nice as well because I'd be befriending a close friend of hers so I'd be winning on two fronts. And apparently, if there's a party that weekend which she's not sure of, I'd likely be meeting most of her friends that night, including some that like her. Joyful!

Anyways, yeah. Date ideas are needed. Fun suggestions as well.
    I don't chase, I replace.

    crazy golf?

i was wondering tho why she would mention other guys she had been interested in, the only reason i would think that she mentioned this was to keep you hanging on like a good doggie, did she actually use the word 'choose'? i wouldn't have verbalised that to someone i was interested in coz it would seem like i was trying to manipulate him and i wouldn't want him to think that. i might make him think other guys were interested by mentioning chats i may have had but nothing about choosing, do you feel on edge a little with her at all?

    maybe i'm reading too deep.

concerts are always good. As are nice restaurants she has never been to before. I always try to go for activities and things the girl might not have done before. Especially if it's something you might have some skill at and showcases a side of your life she may not have seen.

For example, teaching a girl how to surf is one I've used quite a bit over the years.
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.

I agree...something original is always good. Like an event that's happening in town that only happens every so often. How far away does this girl live? You have a tendency to chose long distance relationships don't you? lol

Charlie, want to teach me to surf?

I've wanted to learn since I was in middle school. Never really bought one. Always decided to buy other stuff...like paintball, photograph stuff, and now my bike.

I don't see anything wrong with what she did. In fact, I was doing the same thing. I was seeing other girls at once until I found someone I most clicked with. That's what I think she was doing. And when I found out about the other guys, I told her I wasn't going to be competing. I told her that there were far too many girls out there for me to be doing that. I think she told me because she actually wanted to be with me.

I don't feel on edge with her at all. We've had lots of great conversation and she just fits. We click really well.

She's only a two hour drive. Nothing huge.

Since I don't know the area well, I'm not sure what I can really do there. I know that she wants to go to a few NBA games with me, so we're trying to figure out which ones would be best.

And she wants to take me to a driving range and teach me how to play golf since I never have. Well, besides mini golf.

Live theater is great. If money is an issue, community theater events are often quite good.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I recommend doing stuff with her and her friends. You want to bond with the group, not just her. This will provide social support for your relationship that will help the two-hour distance be less of a problem.

I know it sounds dorky, but playing Pictionary is really fun. Also, having theme dinner-and-a-movie night is good (like everyone brings Italian food and you watch the Godfather).
