I'll just resume my old ways... mingle between the groups but not a member of any...

alas... the lowly drifter...
"The weakest soul, knowing its own weakness, and believing this truth that strength can only be developed by effort and practice, will, thus believing, at once begin to exert itself, and, adding effort to effort, patience to patience, and strength to strength, will never cease to develop, and will at last grow divinely strong."

I stand by what I said.

I don't really care if people agree with me or not. I am expecting not because the forum mentality on this particular thread is to do a character assassination on the OP rather than look at the topic at hand. No one wants to look at the topic at hand because most are regular posters.

Well you know, I used to think the same way Dasein.

My understanding of it, is that regulars on forums just respond to posters old and new the way everyone else would; what they think is right. I mean yeah, you get the occasional overly ridiculous, hard-to-believe situation on here (feces fetish for one) where things get horribly off topic, but what do you expect? The internet is virtually an anarchistic hell hole to begin with. Before you go complaining about how members of a forum chuckle about silly topics, you might want to take a good look at all the beastiality porn and pedophilia that happens on and through the internet.

The bottom line: people come here for advice, expecting all the answers they want to hear to be packed into a neat little paragraph. They find out that they have to be considerate and open-minded to everyone else's opinions and judgment, get frustrated and leave - they still get what they're asking for, they just find out that it's not really something they want.

Well maybe if you explain your position a bit more.

But I mean, we have arguments on every thread. Regulars are always bickering/disagreeing with each other. So how does that explain a forum mentality?

It is true that some people might gang up on a particular issue, but they're bonded by their agreement, not out some alliance to a forum clique. On the next thread the same group that argued together on one point may take opposing views on another.

The poster in this thread is mostly just trying to be provocative, I think.
Is it burnin'? Well, f-ck, now you're learnin'.

What have you not gotten? The same posters you say gang up on others are the same ones that have disagreed with others in the past. Vash and Indi usually agree, but they've gotten into heated arguments as well.

It's the pansy ass whiners like you and the OP that irritate me. Why the **** does it matter? It's an internet forum. Do the words posted here really affect your life that much?

Well, that's okay, we know your judgment is suspect, Cain. I love you anyway.

So true. I remember when me and Frasbee got in an arguement, and 1aj told him even though he was his bro, he couldnt believe how he was acting(Gosh, is that the onyl example I could think of? lol). But yea, I know if I gang up on someone its cuz I agree with the person who is arguing with the other person who I dont agree with. Alliance? LOL. Shit sounds like I'm watching those reality game shows where they form alliances to go against other people.

It's really not that serious. Besides, if it bothers you this much, then why keep typing in www.loveforum.net in your web box? You arent obligated to be here you know.

That's the point of a forum like this. We are supposed to give our differing opinions. If everyone said the same thing, it would be damn useless, wouldn't it?

At least until LoveAdmin figures out how to connect your returns to a bottle of booze connected to this forum, anyway. That would definitely make a point.

I'd even be prepared to connect my own booze at this point. Like a beer hat.
