    Slumdog Millionaire

I just finished watching this film. One of the best I have ever seen, definitely in my top 10 of all time.

If you really want to see a brilliant film, and not be disappointed, then Slumdog Millionaire has to be on your list of films to watch.

I'm too lazy to type out the plot, so here is a trailer...

Yes, I saw it with my sister. We both really enjoyed it - one of the best films of the year.

    I hate the title, though.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Everybody keeps talking about this movie, and I'd never heard of it!

Thanks for the trailer, RSK. I want to see it now.

hey no probs.. guess what, it won 4 golden globes the other day! i'm not kidding, the movie is out of this world, almost feels dreamlike!

a feel good movie, but it does have poignant highs and lows, drama, action, laughs, everything! it might be funny for me to say this, but one of the things that stood out most in this movie is the music. it was perfectly crafted, ESPECIALLY at the end of the movie, the sound at the end carries with it lots of emotion.

okay, i don't want to give ANYTHING away, watch it watch it watch it

I have seen this film 3 times now. i have lived in mumbai for 8 years . so i know most of the places which are beeing shoot at. but never been to the slum called 'dharavi" asia's biggest slum. well would love to visit once there. i have heard there are many millionaire came from that slum by doing hard work.i was watching a special programme about it just 5 days before , about how so many successful businessmen started from that slum and made it big.

each one of them carry a great story .

Brilliant film indeed, didn't see as much of the slum in New Delhi (wrong area) and Jaipur (different city type), different areas got different things I suppose.

And I really like movies with completely unknown casts, makes it far more interesting than watching a hollywood star that you've seen in other roles five times already, easier to get into the story and enjoy it that way.

Slumdog Millionaire is a great movie. I liked it. The story, songs and the music is fantastic.
At its best, entertainment is going to be a subjective thing that can't win for everyone, while at worst, a particular game just becomes a random symbol for petty tribal behavior.

started watching it last night. about 40 minutes in, i felt nauseous. great movie, great acting, but the reality of it didn't go well with me. was hard to see children being hurt and mutilated. hope i can go back and finish it this week. the accents though, were a killer for me. i felt like i was watching a movie in another language and was only able to catch an occasional english word. might have to download a copy with subtitles. by the way, amazing acting skills for a little kid who played Salim. such a powerful performance for a child. so there, just wanted to share.

funny you should say that, because till I heard all the good reviews for this movie, I would've wrote it off because the title along with the vague notion that it's a musical completely puts me off.

but now I think I may have to go see it...
