    mouse in my house!

so this morning i got up, went to the kitchen, it was dark... all of a sudden this big thing runs by on the counter.

we get spiders and i was like, "that spider is fuking huge." but it ran back and stopped and revealed itself. it was a mouse.

i screamed. my bf got up and destroyed the kitchen trying to get at this thing. he had a boot in one hand and a broom in the other.

we looked for the cat but he was nowhere to be found.

    we got some traps.

    mouses are gross.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.

Salami in the trap works much better than peanut butter. If you use peanut butter, the mouse will just lick it off and go on his merry way. With salami, they have to bite into it to get it off. Works like a charm.

BTW - you can move in with me until your BF kills it and removes the carcass.

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

Skiing and drinking would be more to his taste, I think. Definitely the skiing - he's quite athletic.

It's actually a lot scarier not knowing what the thing is. About 5 years ago when I lived with my ex there lived some kind of a creature in our kitchen, I think it used some hole behind the immovable cupboards to sneak in. It would only appear at night once or twice a month. You'd only see a glimpse of it in the dark and then it's gone. I'm pretty sure it was a mouse. But I never had a close look cause the damn thing was so fast. It could've been a spider.

How the hell can you be more afraid of a mouse than of a big spider?

But speaking of being scared of things at home, when I was a kid I was scared of a wooden statue in the living room that portrayed an african spearman. Was looking over my shoulder, thinking that he'd might burst into life and attack me

I've seen mice, and I've seen enormous spiders. Seriously, I found one in my bathroom in Vietnam that was bigger than a mouse, and perhaps hairier.

I'd rather have a mouse anyday.

    I can't stand cockroaches.

    They really creep me out.

I'll take just about anything but a cockroach, or any bug that moves fast and erratically.

Mice tend to run against straight lines, the wall or counter wall.

Cockroaches, or centipedes run in these crazy zig zags and it's like "AAAHHHH! WHERE IS IT GOING?! WHERE IS GOING?! IT'S COMING AT ME! HOLY SHIT NOW IT'S FLYING! DUCK! AHHHH! IT'S ON MY SHIRT JESUS CHRIST! WHYYYYYYYYYYYY?!"

ewwwwwwwww roaches i hate those things.

i'm not necessarily more afraid of mice than spiders, but i have seen spiders in my house before. never seen a mouse in my house!

the traps are still set. no little friend to squish and feed to the cats and birds today.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I giggled like an idiot when my mom ran into her bedroom screaming and locked the door behind her all because of a furry little mouse.

But goddamn it, keep those ****ing spiders and cockroaches the **** away from me.
