    weight ... gain...

So to be blunt I am 6'1" and weight 140lbs. I am more comfortable with the body my genes gave me now than growing up.. but I would much rather be a healthier weight. I would like to gain 20-40 more lbs and be fully comfortable but I am asking for help with good weight gain supplements.

I tried some back in H.S. with multi-vitamins with no luck. I'd like to give it another try now though. Anyone had any success with any legit products? Also note I'm not a gym junkie.

    thanks

My husband gained 20 lbs by getting a wife and a desk job.

    Jeez, I thought I was skinny at 5'9" 135lbs.

You need to load up on protein and start lifting. The rule of thumb is 1 gram per pound you weigh per day. So you would need to take in 140g of protein per day.

As for the type/brand. Stick with Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard. It's the best bang for the price and it's quality stuff.

Jesus christ, I'm around 5'9 170-175 Ibs. and think I'm a little heavy, but once I get more muscle and definition It'll all balance itself out.

6'1 and 140 Ibs. is quite skinny, maybe you should eat more and lift heavier weight where your felling a burn on the 6th - 8th rep where your struggling.

    In Grade 5, I weighed 130 Ibs.

    Let's switch. I'd love to be 140.

You can take all the protein you want, but it will do you no good unless you give your body a use for it.

I'm 6"0 and 148lbs, that is ideal for my height. You are not far off.

What is the surprise? For example: I have been 150lbs for 10 years straight now. Give an take 2 pounds, my metabolism is super human.

Anything else above that goes to my stomach as body fat. It is ideal weight.

That's what happened to me when I tried weight lifting. It just wasn't happening. I can't gain weight, no matter how much I eat. So I figured I'd take advantage of it and take up cycling.

You would be considered "ideal" for that sport.

    Less weight = easier climbing.

I'm considered the ideal weight for cycling. 5'9" 135lbs on average. I'm hoping to actually get down to 130 by summer. Google Michael Rasmussen, that guy is skinny. He also has the worst tan lines known to man. lol
