The Pacific Northwest is only good during summer. Otherwise, the weather is crap. Also, don't venture out of the cities except for vacation. The people are pretty backwards. (My family lives all over Oregon. I honestly don't know how they can stand it outside of Portland.)

i was actually in portland in winter time one year and i got really sick. the flu or something. my body was not accustomed to all that moisture.

Actually, Vash is right about the weather sucking. I just got back from 6 months of daily sunshine and just had two weeks straight of rain. I think the sun is finally out today.

Oregon is beautiful. Portland is too big city, but Eugene is really nice.

The mountains/ocean are beautiful, no question, but PNW is not for those predisposed to depression, esp SAD.

I am so considering moving right now.

Yeah, I can see the relief! I think I spent most of my time in Oregon in coffee shops, drinking java and reading. Or, at Irish pubs eating and drinking good micro brews.

The weather adds a coziness to the atmosphere! But, you're right, it can get old at times.

that's what i used to do. drink coffee all day and drink beer all night.

i would have a hard time adjusting if i chose to live there. it is the EXACT opposite of the climate i'm living in now. also the hispanic people there seem to be really poor mexican immigrants. everywhere i went peoples were like, "where are you from?" i felt so exotic over there.

so i was up all night suffocating on my own sinus pressure. so tonight i decided to take some sudafed and it's a total upper! it's almost 3am and i cannot sleep. i'm so annoyed with this shit already.

You're suffering from bad allergies too? Mine have been f*cked up for weeks now! I sneeze all friggin' morning and it pisses me off. I want to cut my sinuses out because this damn immune response isn't helping me one bit.

I usually take benedryl at night if my sinuses are killing me ... plus, it knocks me out.

i'm out of benadryl. i have some nyquil i'm gonna take some.

besides, benadryl don't knock me out anymore.

this sudafed is the only thing i've felt a side effect from in a long while.
