Russia is half in Europe half in Asia. But Russian is a complete Proto-Slavic language. Proto-Slavic is the root language from which Czech to Polish to Serb to Russian originate from.

yeah, i do have a hard time remembering words for the lack of practice, but i do bother all of my spanish speaking coworkers by practicing on them.

to be honest i am trying to learn japanese at the same time, so i got japanese words on my right, and spanish on my left, lol.

and when i get home i try to just walk around and pronounce them all.

here's some more verbs good to know...

volver- to return (irregular er verb)

    yo vuelvo
    tu vuelves
    el vuelve
    ellos vuelven
    nosotros volvemos

    saber - to know

    yo se
    tu sabes
    el sabe
    ellos saben
    nosotros sabemos

    (in spanish a b sounds like a v. savemos.)

    decir -to say

    yo digo
    tu dices
    el dice
    ellos dicen
    nosotros decimos

    dar - to give

    yo doy
    tu das
    el da
    ellos dan
    nosotros damos

yo te doy lecciones de espaniol. (i do that just to make nomas mad jeje.)

this is how you say you have to do something...

    tener que ___________

    yo tengo que volver
    tu tienes que ir
    el tiene que empezar
    ellos tienen que decir
    nosotros tenemos que dar.

after a while you won't have to put the yo, tu, and all that in front of the word.

if someone says "tienes que hacer algo" you automatically know it means you have to do something. you don't have to say tu tienes...

un otro verbo que debes saber. (another verb you should know...)

    hacer- to do

    hago
    haces
    hace
    hacen
    hacemos
