Help, Don't know how to proceed

Here is the situation, last weekend I had a party over my house and my sister and I each had some of her friends over. Well she has one friend that I have had a crush on for quite awhile, but have never really talked to. Well she had to leave before I could get a chance to say anything to her. Long story short, I asked my sister to text her since I didn't get a chance to talk to her and it ended up she thought I was cute and told my sister that she could give me her number.

So two days later, I texted her and said "Hey I don't know what my sister said to you the other night, but I was just wondering if you might want to hang out sometime?"

She replied back with "well yea, but I don't really know you".

I said "Well so and so (people she knew too) are having a party this weekend and I was wondering if you want to go?"

She replied " I would but I'm gonna be out of town with my parents this weekend".

I said "well maybe we can hang out some other time then"

she didn't reply.

Did I do something wrong there or does that seem ok?
It's been 2 days should I text her again or just wait until the weekend after next when there is gonna be another party?

No, you did nothing wrong!

I think you should either wait until a party or whatever occasion arises for you to invite her to. Or, ask her out on a date if you feel comfortable enough to.

You could also just text her with casual small talk and then tell her you'd like to get to know her better and see her response.
