What does it mean when a guy says "I don't want...

to overanalyze this"? He said it about a week into it and I had said nothing analytical at all when he said this.

In order to properly speculate I'd need more information. I think it's likely he means he doesn't wan't to overthink something. Why would that be? Depends on what it is.

What other info do you need? Yes, he said he doesn't want to overthink it. But was he saying it out loud to himself or trying to tell me something by saying it?

He also said he wants it to be and go just where it's supposed to. What the hell? As opposed to what?? I've dated other guys who have said this. I feel like saying "No shit" when they say it if they are saying it to try to get a message to me. I typically have said NOTHING about the direction of the relationship when I have been told this and am usually quite aloof in the beginning (I never call them... I don't ask to see them... I don't say anything about the future...).

    I don't get it.

I finally asked him what me meant and what he was afraid of that made him say it. He said "You know.... fear of rejection... fear of making the same mistakes in past situations"...

Very different response from what I was expecting. I wonder if he was bullshitting me.
