be very specific - what does it feel like to be in love?

when you're in love, what is like when you're:

    next to her,
    in her presence,
    away from her,
    long distance.

I read about love in the bible - 1 Corinthians 13:13 - didn't really help because everything fits my feelings. I just want to convince myself that my feelings are fake...

what? you want to convince yourself that they are fake?

If you are asking that question, then they are and no need to continue the conversation.

Real love is having a very best friend of the opposite sex that you respect and admire, but not obsessively so. It's warm and comfy.

I'm definitely not obsessed or infatuated. But it's hard to not think about her sometimes, even when I'm super busy and engaged with certain tasks. She's just so sweet, and even though we were just friends, I just for some reason want her to be happy, because my world would collapse if she isn't.

We are not going to be together. She doesn't feel the same way about. And I need to get off this train because it's ruining everything in my life. Believe me, I have gotten my heart jabbed plenty of times now. Whenever I make a commitment to stop thinking about her and move on with my life, I go right back to where I was.

Maybe I just need more time, or just another slap in the face to help me wake up. So I just want to know what real love feels like.

well i doubt love exists (especially not the one in movies) you can call it affection attraction or whatever anyway don't invest too much feeling in a relationship and you'll never be heartbroken well that's my way of doing things and it works for me but since i have principles like being faithfull and all it doesn't bother my girlfriend

    I like this. :-)

I would say love to me is being comfortable with the person. You don't need them to be with you constantly, and can actually spend periods of time apart without it affecting anything. Also, you don't have to be told constantly how they feel, or that they think you are beautiful. You can just feel it. No words needed.
