so me and my boyfriend of a year and a half broke up a few days ago...it was because everytime we got into a fight he would go talk to some other girl and imply he wanted to hangout but he never actually said that to her. i wouldnt talk to him after i broke up with him for a day and he wanted to come over to try and talk but i wasnt ready. now hes acting distant and he says he needs to think about stuff and try and figure out if were right for each other...he wrote me a note he gave me saying he would love me forever and nothing would change that but now he wont talk to me in person...i just want to know if he still cares or its a lost cause

Theres two words you shouldnt use when it comes to a relationship, "never and always". Example, "I'll ALWAYS love you or I'll NEVER leave you".
If he says he needs time to think the best thing you can do is give him as much time and space possible but by no means should you rule out YOUR options. If someone shows some interest in you and you feel your interested in that other person than by all means go out and enjoy yourself. If your ex boyfriend gets upset he has no one to blame but himself.

He lied so that he could keep you on the back burner while waiting to see if the new girl will work out. Don't waste your time, don't waste your energy, walk away from the relationship because he isn't being honest with you.
