    Moving On songs

Well, I spent about 10 minutes sitting here trying to decide which forum to put this in, but here it is.

I just got out of (by which i mean 'lost') a ten month relationshp with a girl that I really thought was going to be it but, obviously, was not. I'm trying my best to move on and maybe even re-entering the world of dating. Having a little trouble though as most of my music collection is some form of love song ( I just happen to like bands like Gavin Degraw, Graham Colton, and Train), which always ends up reminding me of what's gone. So what I need are some good, positive songs about moving on and getting over this broken heart. I don't want any songs that blame anyone cuz that's not the case at all. I just need something to listen to that will prevent me from crying instead of inducing it. Thanx for any help, you guys are great.

Three Days Grace - I Hate Everything About You

I listen to this song whenever my girlfriend pisses me off. If you look up the lyrics to it you might understand why this helps. It's wierd, but it does. It pretty much gets me pumped up and lifting weights or doing situps or pushups or w/e which really helps me forget about my problems. If you want me to send it to you, I'd be more than happy to. if you want me to send it
    good luck

In situations like that, I like to listen to hip-hop with some nice beats. Something mellow, and not too aggressive. Outkast, nas, 2pac. . .

Everybody except moby put out songs he didn't want. Eamon song blames the women in so many ways, and Three Days Grace while a good song, involves being torn, but not moving on.

Story of the Year - "Sidewalks" is a good one.

It recognizes where your from, your roots, its like looking back, but moving on. Trust me, its a good one. Its like remembering what you had, and moving forward with it.

    Is that the question?

I think the best positive one i've heard is by Jimmy eat world "The middle". I know it's directed at a girl, but the message is good for all:
Hey, you know they’re all the same
You know you’re doing better on your own
    So don’t buy in
    Live right now
    Yeah just be yourself
It doesn’t matter if that’s good enough for someone else

My boyfriend just broke up with me on Friday, and music is always a therapy for me. But I've had to find songs that don't make me think of him.

I recommend songs by the band Switchfoot. Or if you are in the mood for something a little darker, then music by The Used. Whenever I am having guy troubles, I always pop in that CD, and it makes me feel like I'm in control.

I also recommend "In this Diary" by the Ataris

Good luck getting through this difficult time
