My gf's ex wants her back.

My girlfriend and I have been together a little over a year. Her girlfriend clearly wants her back.

Background info on her ex:
She dated my girlfriend for 2 years in high school. It was an on and off relationship, and my girlfriend was very miserable with her because she wasn't into any sort of affection. They kissed maybe twice and never had sex.

Now she wants my girlfriend back after 2 years of being without her. She's very flirty with her, but my girlfriend doesn't flirt back. She just likes the fact that she knows her ex messed up by breaking up with her. My girlfriend doesn't want her ex back at all, so I have nothing to worry about...

BUT, her ex has done some weird things. The three of us have hung out and she plays nice to me, she even bought my girlfriend some presents for Valentines day, which was very weird. Everyone thought she wanted a 3-some.

My Question
Do I interfere and say something to my girlfriend's ex? She doesn't get the point that she wont get my girlfriend back no matter what, even if my girlfriend wasn't dating me,

exes are exes for a reason.
Or just stay out of it and hope she one day realizes it'll never happen between her and my girlfriend again?

What would you want your significant other to do in this situation? (if your ex was all over you even when you don't want them back under and circumstances?)

Your girlfriend sounds like she needs to get a clue and cut her ex off. Then again, your girlfriend needs to learn how to set boundaries generally, doesn't she?

This is a different ex. I don't know, I am pretty trust worthy of her. I feel like setting boundaries isn't for me. I just trust her. I know nothing will happen, I just don't know if I should step in.
