Not in any job I've worked at.....always seems to be a mix.

I think it may be a factor if you work in a bar or a trendy clothing store. In my profession, you can't succeed just being good looking.

I worked at a store that only hired good-looking cashiers. They went to the extreme of throwing-out resumes if I told t hem the girl who handed it in, wasn't attractive. Mind you, they also had to be friendly and reasonably intelligent.
