    The God Illusion?

I’ve noticed quite a number of people/scientists have spent a lot of energy talking about how religion is terrible and how God doesn’t exist. Now I’m an open minded person and with the right logical argument (which I have yet to see) I can be swayed either way but I have to admit I’m more inclined to believe. Religion has been used as a controlling tool but that doesn’t mean God doesn’t exist it just means humans have been assholes and have used God as a fear tactic to get what they want. it’s not a justified argument to say God doesn’t exist based on how some humans have interpreted the stories.

There are many stories told in various religions which are similar-some people think this discredits religion and God altogether but tbh this makes the stories even more true-different religions-different character names but same story…spooky.

Does any one have a good logical argument as to why it’s not logical to believe in God? (without using what humans have interpreted from the stories)

Try to have a logical argument with a believer about the existence of god and pay attention to how logical it sounds.

Eco, I can dig up arguments and counterarguments from brilliant minds. I can give you the ontological argument and the argument that scuttles it.

Or I can give it to you as plainly as possible.

    No proof.

In fact, not even an inkling of evidence.

That's all the argument needed. Until someone has something to show in favor of the existence of a god or gods there really can be no serious debate.

I disagree. I can be certain beyond a reasonable doubt that there is no god until you or someone else can show me something that indicates otherwise.

there's no logical reason to believe in a god simply b/c there's no evidence that suggests god(s) exist.

p.s. can someone who's good at grammar tell me if there's suppose to be an 's' at the end of "suggest" and exist?"

Neo...There is no evidence that suggests God exists. An example of suggest would be...Are you trying to suggest that God doesn't exist? Makes sense?

i really don't care what people believe. as long as people don't try to force those beliefs on me or convince me that there's is the only correct belief.

i have my beliefs and i don't bother to come up with evidence for and against them. they're mine and that is that.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.
