I am friends with this married man - ok we have been pretty much just acquaintances up until this last weekend. We were out of town and his wife wasn't there. He was flirting with me all weekend which was interesting and enjoyable. I though it was harmless and that it was kind of nice to get to know him better. I haven't seen him be much of a flirt in general. Then the last night he drank a little too much and grabbed my butt. I did like it.
Now I'm just a little confused. Is that beyond harmless flirting? Did he just go too far because he is drunk? Maybe his marriage is in trouble?

That is the perfect question to ask.
I wouldn't if he was happily married. I never would with someone I just met because I would feel too guilty.
See, I actually do like him. But I won't be the other woman. I have messed around with a separated man before - knowing they were going to get divorced...so there wasn't any harm.
As is always true in these forums, we all want someone to tell us the future or something that is impossible to know.
I just don't know what his marriage is like.

If he is still married, you should assume he is satisfied with his wife. If he wasn't, he would leave her. Sleeping with someone on the side is not an indication that a man doesn't love his wife. It's just an indication that he lacks character.

It means that he disrespected you. This should be enough for you to stay away from him. It doesn't matter if his marriage is in trouble; that's none of your business. Your business is making sure this doesn't happen again. Quit drinking with married men.
