Well we can say so . The thing is, I`m moving out with my bf to another very nice flat. Everythings fine but the internet providers here in SPAIN :-/ . We have choice between installing internet from `ONO`company , costs: About 87 euro installations , 62 euro each month for internet(slow),phone(free are only national calls - I don`t have nobody in Spain, unfortunately) and tv(the only chanels i would understand it`ll be mtv and tvPolonia) but installation is in 2 days after ordering it. And then there is `Orange`company ,costs : installation : 0 eur, 30 euro each month for internet(slow), Phone (free only national calls) and tv (again like Ono) but it takes about 3 weeks untill they install everything so You can use it.

So yeah , I`m in Congo.

PS. Of course I don`t need to tell that we were probobly chose Orange ...

They don't get that at home..and even if they did, it still stems from the fact their parents/relatives are being judged for being muslim, what they wear and so on...As i also mentioned how is this any different from kids who are picked on at school and come in with a gun? People like you prove that point..Apologies for the idiot remark, i just think most of your comments are bs.

I don't believe it should be banned. I think that was an exaggeration. However, I do believe it should be looked upon with the same level of disgust that a klan hood would receive.

Tolerance is often a cover for cowardice, indecision and/or ignorance.

Look at 20th century France (since it came up). Both WWs, someone else had to pull their bacon out of the fire. And they are *still* assholes who think they actually have something meaningful to contribute.

Stupidity and ignorance should be corrected where ever one finds it. Most people don't even know *why* they have the opinions they do, much less the experience and intelligence to decide if its a good opinion to have. Look at the posts just in this thread.

Where hey should get it? In the metro on a way back home? Oh yeah they are judge for being muslims and what they wear so the best is to kill those people who judge them + lots of innocent people to PUNISH them all. Don`t You think it makes all other judge them more? If someone judges me I don`t give a damn or I tell him to look at himself but I don`t kill this person? How many were there kids with a gun at school comparing to murderers killing in name o Allah? There is nothing to compare.
Like I said, nothing against those people , I`m against to their acts of hate.
Like how about honour murders? Hmm? Don`t tell me it`s just a small part of it. Each year lots of people die from a honour murder. Not only in Arabic countries. Lots of them in Europe as well. Last time I`ve heard about it? Few weeks ago in France. Brother killed Sister . And was proud of it. It`s repulsive
And I ADORE those Arabs which can say no to this rule and save their family.

There is no truth, there's a "logically" ascertained premise. There are things accpetable and things unacceptable. Religeon, if taken at all, is to be taken metaphorically. This leaves room for your human brain to interpret what you feel is correct based on your own conscience. People are so quick to oversimplify and this shows emotional venting rather than a genuine desire to understand what the problem is and how to fix it. Equality should be the goal, IMO and people's personal interests (beliefs) get in the way. The problem with equality is the amount of influence one group has over another. If this isn't equalized, right and wrong are bound by the opinions of the influential and consolidation of opinion toward a common goal is impossible. Men have invested much interest in controlling women, have little vantage point outside the status quo (unless they make an effort which is often against their interests) and would dearly like to maintain a patriarchy. Patriarchies are condescending, patronizing (duh) and dishonest (or rather, wilfully ignorant for the sake of convenience) and the interests they're protecting are obvious. If you want to wear a burka, go ahead. Nobody should be able to take that right away from you.

A man who can't control his libido is PATHETIC and just waiting to be led around by his dick. People should be able to dress how they want, naked even. You don't like it, don't look. You don't want your children to see that so you pretend nakedness is wrong or doesn't exist, as if it leads to corruption and carnal knowledge automatically. We tame our populations until we're afraid of our own shadows. I HATE seeing people make-out in public...so I look the other way, it's none of my business. Who am I to tell them what not to do if what they're doing isn't unreasonable? Why not ban facial peircings and tattoos? Suppression only strengthens what's trying to be suppressed so correct the problem if you've got one, don't avoid it. Don't simplify the problem, judge it accurately and don't think idealistically about how to solve it. If a woman WANTS to hide her beauty, I think that's very understandable and should be allowed by all means but it should have nothing to do with the man's decision, he's ihs own person. Considering people property is slavery. Stockholm syndrom also obscures a situation. Zealous women may defend their own oppression, rather than defending what they do as a cultural CHOICE and this is telling. Knee jerk opinions to criticism tend to make a case for that criticism. As far as tradition, I can't make the call of whether wearing a hijab is preferable to wearing a burqa but I'm willing to make that assumption 9/10ths of the time, and I'm of the understanding that wearing a hijab is an acceptable substitute (comprimise) that still maintains respect for tradition.

The whole idea of oppressing a people to maintain control is still a global standard, in some countries the people are bought off with a little more freedom. The issue isn't the burqa but the (assumed?) symbolism of what it represents: "Father knows best" and "that's women's work".

Who cares what they wear? If they want to go around like uber nappie-heads then shrug.

What matters is what they do, and why. The clothes is just the symbol, like KKK pointy hats. Put a few stars on them & call them wizard hats and they just become LOTR kooks, right?

We used to interact with a fundamentalist muslim couple. She was okay, but he was a chode. Came to my home, refused to shake my hand b/c I was a woman, even tho I was clearly his social superior. You could tell the only reason he even spoke to me was b/c I went to a school he could never have. We even bought halal meat to satisfy their culinary restrictions. But, we stopped short of banning alcohol, which would have offended our German guests who had brewed a lovely batch of beer that season.

You can walk down the street wearing a swastika on your arm. That isn't a crime, at least not in the US. That doesn't mean someone isn't going to have the balls to step up and call you a vile shithead.

Let's not ban the burqa. Let's instead call the men rapists who would demand that their women wear them. Let's instead call the women weak and pathetic who would willingly don them. Let's instead offer to help the women who are oppressed and forced to wear them against their will.

Just as it is their right to wear a burqa it is my right to mock them, to insult them, to try to sway them, or failing that, at least humiliate them.

That's the real point here. Let's drop this kumbaya-accept-anything mentality and get real. The civilized world has no room for misogynists, rapists, cowards or barbarians.
