Indireloaded...

I'm not sure why, but I guess just for fun I decided to take one of the online tests for Aspergers.... well I scored highly on that. Figured it was a fluke, so I took a few more... scored highly on those as well. All total I've taken nearly a dozen and have scored highly on each one --- not a low scoring one in the whole lot.

Involved two scores on each... asperger and neurotypical... well the asperger was nearly maxed and the neurotypical was very, very low.

Is there any validity to any of this? If so... what do I do?

I just did one and scored 9 out of 50 on the AQ test. Where a score over 32 indicated Asperger's, with the score for average man is 18 and for average woman 15. So I'm less autistic than an average man and woman.

I call BS on these online tests.

Dalia, love? Why don't you take the hypochondriac test and see where you score there?

See if you can find this book at your library:

    http://www.bookworm.com.au/Book/Alone-Together-Making-an-Asperger-Marriage-Work-9781843105374.aspx

It will give you an idea of how your partner might view you in a relationship.

Also, PM Miso for more info. My experience is limited to an n = 1.

Be careful about self-diagnosis, tho. Aspergers seems to be another one of those trendy, 'designer' diagnoses. For real AS, there are symptoms all the way back in childhood.

Here are some other links. Even if you only have certain traits, information will be important to you:

    And consider deleting this thread.

No I didn't. I don't diagnose anyone. You are definitely not AS, CB.

Nah. You got full blown autism, man. Go slobber over a piano and tap out Beethoven or something.

I agree, online tests can be total bs. Always get a second opinion.
