Disillusioned - I mosty have no idea what you're talking about, or how it relates what I intended to write. I'm long past my days of fruitless internet debates, and I don't think we'd be able to communicate well enough to make it worthwhile, so I'm afraid I don't have a reply.

I think the men that complain about lack of traditional qualities in western women are a different type to the ones balking away off marriage.

Anyway, the reason why I mentioned it is because I've dated both traditional and non traditional women and I can see a difference between them. It was specifically the greater capacity of traditional women to be more understanding, more empathic and happier with what they have that made them a lot more attractive to me. My experience with them was generally deeper and more soul enriching.

I'm no feminist, but god damn it anoys me that I go out and work my ass off to achieve the things that make me happy to be told that being an independent, non-traditional woman is a bad thing.

Men just trying to 'put us in our place' again. I'm HAPPY with my life the way it is, the choice I have, the independence, my career. Thank god my fiance loves and respects me for this.

well on a positive note, not all men think that way. there is a minority who enjoy an intelligent womans company as well as her body. which is nice.

Blue, that's not a traditional woman, that's a puppet wife. Please re-read my description of what traditional woman is before you make these far sweeping stereotypical accusations. A woman with a brain can be understanding, empathic and happy, all the qualities which I see lacking in the western women I've dated. Don't make the traditional woman sound like a slave just because she is better adjusted in the world around her, more feminine and is happier.

No. For some reason you assume that. But all of my comments in this thread were specifically directed towards women I've known and dated. I'm using comparison of women from my personal experience.
