Is it wrong to take photos with girls / guys if you're in a relationship

    Hi guys,

Would like some opinion here. Is it wrong to take pictures with girls / guys (your friends) if you're in a relationship? And I meant candid silly pictures. Not something intimate like hugging, etc.

I don't know where you're from but over here it is perfectly ok to take pictures with friends of the opposite sex.

Hugging is not considered intimate either.

    I'm from USA east coast.

You worried too much. If your GF don't like it, then it's a different case.

    Are you serious?

That's beyond a stupid question. If your partner has you believing you shouldn't stand beside a friend to take a picture for memories' sake, there is something wrong with your partner.

    Yes, she doesn't like it.

I took a silly candid picture with another girl the other day and another friend of mine posted it up on FB. My girlfriend somehow found the picture and she wasn't too happy. She says that I don't know my 'limits' and this is not the kind of thing that I should do when I'm in a relationship.

I assured her that we're just mutual friends and my friend has a boyfriend. But she's still unhappy over it.

Yeah- BEWARE she's going to unleash the BEAST real soon...

If she's insecure about a picture GOD FORBID you chat to another girl even a friend! She is CRAZY.

A "limit" of not taking pictures with freinds while being in a relationship is not a "limit" at all... you know what that's called? Control FREAK! Goodluck.

I am going to be the first person to pull and I TOLD YOU SO. When you come here to complain about crazy girl being crazy jealous.

That is messed up of her. She is extremely insecure. She is being unrealistic. Its not wrong to have friends or take pics with friends or talk to other females dammit! Imagine if she caught you masturbating to a playboy or porno! Theres no end to her jealousy, she needs to fix herself and you really REALLY shouldnt let yourself be whipped.

Do you mind posting the pic here? Maybe "silly and candid" looked like "intimate" to your gf. Let us tell you.

Depends on what the picture looks like.

And i'll give you some advice -

don't spend so much 'alone' time, including taking pictures, with members of the opposite sex.

If you are a guy, take all the pictures with your guy friends that you want.

If you are a guy and start taking pictures of just you and your female friend, it's a little weird. You're just friends, not a couple. It's not a 'group photo', it's "Me and Rebecca at x"

and that sort of thing you should only really do with your girlfriend.

Ah, good ol' Facebook strikes again. This is exactly why I never, EVER, let anything romance related onto my FB page.

Having said that, for all I know you're being silly by shoving your tongue in her butt-crack. Silly and candid can mean very different things to people.

Now then, the other side of the coin is that your girlfriend knows exactly what your friend is doing... I call this one the friendzone flirt where a female friend will be touchy and borderline inappropriate, undermining the trust of the girlfriend.

This may well be more than just the photo. At the very least, I'm going to give the cautious advice that your girlfriend is probably right, but for the wrong reasons.

    Yeah, it's just weird.

Once you are in a relationship, you do not do 'special alone' time with members of the opposite sex, friends or not.

If it was a group photo, that's ok. but just the two of you spending time together, taking pictures together?

You sound like a couple, not friends.

I'm not going to share my pictures online. But here's a great example of it (as attached).

I'm not an Indian but if you've watched one of those Indian movies you would've noticed that they like to run around trees chasing one another and have a great laugh. The candid pic is similar to the attached, though not so serious and we're both laughing in that pic. I was with a group of friends and a friend of mine asked us to pose one like this and we all had a great laugh. So what's wrong with the picture?
