What age is the best for dating (for guys?)

I've always heard that "older guys" tend to hookup more, but I'm 23 and if that's true, I'm kinda wondering why I'm not scoring 19 and 20 year old girls...

It's just that I've been stuck in a bit of a dry spell for a while and I'm kinda wondering, does it get any easier? Do I have something to look forward to?

Does meeting girls, hooking up and just dating in general get easier as a guy gets older? Or have I passed my prime already?

Generally, I would assume dating gets easier for guys compared to girls as you get older cuz girls lose their youth and beauty and become more desperate. Guys on the other hand, start getting decent jobs where they make good $$$ and thats where they start gaining the upper hand in the world of dating.

But I can't really answer your question, I'm just inferring what would happen as the sexes get older.
