Cool, so Android is an open source OS for smartphones? A la Linux for PCs.

Apple will just love that. But, they are pissing people off w/their protectionist methods. I was happy when they got rid of their 'apple only' tags on their music I bought from iTunes.

Android is open source and there are tons of applications can be install.

I do feel guilty i never put in that much effort in building LF like what i build for this new android site..

I heard HTC was better than iPhone too.
My Job issued the Blackberries.

I want a Blackberry Storm bad.
But I refuse to go to Verizon for one.

I wouldn't say an iPhone is overrated, and I certainly wouldn't say a Touch gives you a full understanding of the iPhone's benefits. It lacks calling, video camera, 3G (not to be understated), basically: everything I use my iPhone for other than listening to MP3's.

There is one giant downside to the iPhone though, its battery life blows. On paper it gets similar numbers to other smart phones, but the nature of the iPhone is that you constantly want to use it. And if you're like me and listen to lots of music, your iPhone will start running out of juice around midday unless you're conservative with your phone usage and all your battery settings. On nights that I plan on going out till late, I will usually find some time during the day to let my phone recharge.

That is the biggest downside to the iPhone. I don't care much for new tech in the next iPhone (beyond better video camera), what I really want is a battery that will reliably get me through today and until next morning.
