Ouch !! It looks like you dropped a concrete block on it

If it's from a twist, it looks pretty severe, may have to get an MRI

i can't really see anything, but an extremely close up blurry view of your ankle.

I also think you go to the doctor. I sprained my ankle a couple of years ago and it was swollen, but never turned purple like that. That doesn't look good.

You could have broken it and not realized it, but either way, better to be safe than sorry. Hope it works out ok.

You need to see a doctor qwerty. Is there someone who can drive you?

QWERTY: make me one more vote for a doctor, immediately. I broke my ankle rather badly some years ago, and it didn't look half as ugly as the picture you posted. You may only have a really serious sprain, but don't count on that. There are too many fragile bones, tendons, etc. in the ankle to take any chances.

I havnt seen a dr yet..im at work..i drove myself here which is a good thing i was able to i guess but it was agony everytime i put my foot on the clutch!!!

I think the swelling may have gone down..i dont even want to consider the possibility of it being more than a sprain!!
    I'll post a pic in a sec
