Im not putting a man over my career. Like i said before, if i did get involved then it would have no impact on my job/career in terms of losing my job or stopping me achieving what i want to at this company. The most it would do is possibly make things awkward between colleagues(though i dont think it would, but you never know) and things awkward if we got together and split up.
He is my boss, but not actually involved in the hiring/firing etc side of things and is not that concerned with that.

There is no way in the world i would even consider this if i thought for one second it would affect my work enough to compromise my position at work(and thats not me being naive)

Its hard to explain unless you understand my work..he is basically a veterinary surgeon, im a reproduction analyst, which basically means alot of my work goes through him, any decision he makes over rides mine and i work under him, but he doesnt deal with anything at all to do with staff/payroll/management etc, that is totally seperate.

I hope you realize that this is going to end really, really badly qwerty, no matter how much you try to convince yourself it won't. You've already shown that you are unable to control the situation and it will all be going downhill from here.

Take it from someone who once upon a time flirted with (and was flirted with) a girl (not a boss) from a different department at work. Two years later things are still awkward. Even though she works on a different floor.

Q - you're starting to sound like the ditz that Neo described. You have a child to think of. If you screw up your work situation its not just you that will suffer. Dating at work is always frowned upon. If not by this guy, then someone else at your work will.

Especially given your recent issues with this stalker guy, this could easily make it seem you were somehow leading him on. Does it occur to you that dating someone else from your work could make you look like the company whore?

let her learn on her own. Most of the members here already spent 3 pages explaining why it's a bad reason to date your boss. At this point, if she is still undecided, then she's going to do whatever she wants regardless of what you say.

Yes, he's my boss..like i said.

Someone else? I didnt date my 'stalker' in the first place, so dont know where th company whore label would come from.
