no - I'd have to disagree with that statement. My experience has been, and I've been in absolutely loving relationships and abusive relationships, is that men who hit have problems - be it alcohol, drugs or just plain being born a douche bag. Not all men hit - but if they do, they certainly can come up with justification in their own minds!

I know a guy who hit a girl once, quite hard actually. And no-one has blamed him, his girlfriend even laughed at it because some bitches deserve to be slapped. Respect your position, girls.

Hrm.. the subject sounds wrong. BUT.. I think most women won't see it coming. You can know a guy for a long time and not know he has it in him to hit you.

I apparently did hit a girl once. If you knew me you'd never suspect it. I avoid confrontation, I'm pretty laid back, and I haven't even hit a guy since the 7th grade. A week earlier she had punched me in the face, and gave me a black eye! Anyway it all went down when we were both pretty sh!t faced, and we in some kind of argument. I say apparently hit her, because I remember the night reasonably well, and I certainly don't remember hitting her. In fact she was really nice to me the next day, and brought it up a couple days later when we were arguing over something. A part of me still believes she made the whole thing up as some kind of emotional blackmail. I dunno.

Nope, never in my experience.

Of course, if a woman hits a guy he should defend himself with whatever force necessary to stop her or get away. Also, there are many women well able to kick a guy's ass, and they aren't all lesbians. Size isn't the only factor in abuse.

Not every many hits women, same vice versa as previously stated. But, I have been raised that if anyone comes up to me and starts attacking (punching or whatever has it) and I feel threatened to defend myself until I feel he/she is no longer a threat to me. Now granted, it takes less for a male to threaten me than a female, and then I would still have a hard time hitting a girl.
