    Which messengers do you use?
    What's your favorite and why?
Any other messengers out there that aren't listed?

None. I used to be a big instant messaging whore (some 9 years back) and I had all of them at one stage. But then the idea of going online and having mandatory chats with 10+ people or else they'll think you're ignoring them got old for me and I ditched all of the messengers. Facebook is enough for me.

Wait, I sometimes use Skype still

Weak find the whip, willing find freedom
Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame

Where's the Facebook instant messenger? Thats the only one I use, and its always by accident. I'll browse Facebook and someone will IM me via there while I'm busy and I feel obliged to respond.

LOL!!Me too...for me it's like if I don't respond they will know I'm ignoring them since Facebook is known to let the world know when you're going to take a shit.

Because facebook isn't a client. I was mostly referring to Enterprise Instant Messaging.

And you know what... I hateee that so much. The people that get angry because you don't respond to an IM. Blah.

My first messenger is ICQ and still using it for both personal & business.. though it wasn't that popular now..

Right now, MSN is the top of the list. I have yahoo!, Aim and skype as well.

I use trillian ... it consolidates all of my IM clients: AIM, YM, MSN, and FB.

I don't log in as often anymore ... But at least I can catch up on folks.

I used to use AIM, haven't signed on in a few years. Now I'm on Skype but only communicate with a few friends from abroad, and Gchat.

Remember when checking people's AIM profiles and away messages was advanced e-stalking?

Hardly use it at all, phone calls rule supreme over instant messaging, its too impersonal. But if I do, I've stopped using messenger and now use skype, getting a voice and camera is neat for overseas calls.

Bit interested in Google Wave, though its probably not in the same category. Heard it's very useful for project work with other people.

I can't say I've quite figured out the whole draw of Google Wave yet, but maybe I'll find it useful one day. Although I have done a group chat via a Google Document spreadsheet, where we each had our own cell to chat in. It was hilarious.

I don't really give a shit about the facebooking/tweeting/blogging crap, I only use my fb account once a month to accept requests, but would love it for teamwork archi projects being worked on, discussing and sharing sketches and imagery in realtime with a group, and the playback function shown around 5:00. Bit of a shame that the design projects are done solo though, but could still use it for feedback.

Especially if it has voice support.
